# Ariftly Enterprise AI Adoption Monitor v0.1

This research companion preserves a small, source-linked set of official enterprise AI adoption observations used in the Ariftly Insights article **The Enterprise AI Adoption Gap: What Official US and EU Data Actually Shows**.

The monitor is a comparison method, not a new official index. The U.S. and EU headline percentages estimate different populations with different questions. They can be presented together as context, but must not be subtracted or ranked as though they were harmonized.

## Files

- `monitor-v0.1.csv` contains the selected observations, their raw and publication-rounded values, source IDs and permitted comparison status.
- `source-manifest.csv` records the primary source, period and retrieval date for every observation.
- `METHODS.md` explains the extraction, calculations and comparison rules.
- `CHANGELOG.md` records revisions.

## Reproduce the highlighted calculations

- EU 2023–2025 change, using published rounded values: `20.0 - 8.1 = 11.9 percentage points`.
- EU 2025 large/small prevalence ratio: `55.0 / 17.0 = 3.24x`.
- U.S. weighting contrast: `32 - 18 = 14 percentage points`.

These are Ariftly calculations on reported official values. They are descriptive, not causal estimates.
